Dr. Ambika Mathur is a Professor of Pediatrics and Dean of the Graduate School at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She came to the United States to pursue her PhD in cancer immunology at the University of Iowa and now has over 150 research publications. She stays involved in her community writing and producing plays for community events. She was inducted in the inaugural Michigan India Women's Hall of Fame. She lives with her husband and her two dogs in Grosse Pointe Shores and is the proud mother of twins. She loves to read, from the mysteries of Dorothy Sayer and Agatha Christie to the comedy of P.G. Wodehouse. She is also a published author of the Miss Panda book series for children. She is herself a cancer survivor and is dedicated to helping others.
